Matt Dando established MD-SAFETY in 2005 with over 20 years specialist experience in emergency, disaster and safety management and is well known as a high level subject expert in both the theoretical and practical aspects of these areas. Since its inception MD-SAFETY has been warmly received by both public and private organisations who are striving for safer and more efficient workplaces.
Matt’s prior work experience includes the Australian Plague Locust Commission, CSIRO Bush Fire Research Unit as well as the Victorian Country Fire Authority and the NSW Rural Fire Service. Matt has a Diploma of Agricultural Science, Advanced Diploma of Emergency Management, Diploma of Fire-fighting Management and a Diploma in Training and Assessment. He is also a registered WorkCover NSW trainer.
Matt has been accredited as a job subject expert in emergency operational and fire aviation management and continues his involvement in these areas as a volunteer in the NSW Rural Fire Service.
Paul specialises in agricultural safety having had vast experience in agriculture and adult education. Paul has previously worked for TAFE NSW as a primary industries teacher for 19 years, and at the same time ran a successful farming operation.
His qualifications include a Diploma of Teaching, Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training, Certificate IV in Workplace Safety and an Advanced Certificate in Irrigation. Paul is a registered wool classer and like many in the rural sector, has the scars to prove his attendance at the "University of Hard Knocks".
Chris specializes in curriculum and program development, particularly in the emergency management arena; he also has extensive experience in systems compliance and audit. Chris has considerable expertise in competency based assessment and training package development and implementation. His qualifications include an MBA, Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) as well as numerous other qualifications in business and emergency management. Chris is currently Program Manager - Public Safety Leadership Development Program at the Australian College of Community Safety.
In addition to the core team MD-SAFETY also has strategic links to a wide range of business specialists and trainers and can provide a “one-stop-shop” approach to all safety management needs.
